Something a little different....

Hi everyone,

It's been almost a week since my last post. I was reminded of this by a sweet friend who emailed me to see if I was alright, which I am....just busy with life and enjoying the beautiful summer weather.

Now because it is the last Wednesday of the month it's
Christmas
at

hosted by the lovely Chris and sponsored by the fabulous

Each of us on the DT were given the choice of a digi in the shop and  my selection was
 "Elf Pocket" available here
I thought it would be fun to try something new...a shirt card.
A little planning ahead would have helped me as I printed and coloured the image first
then decided to google how to make the card.  It turns out all the instructions
are for smaller size cards and since I was so happy with my little elf as he was,
I just made a shirt for the front.
I added a panel under the buttons and stitched the sides - difficult to see with
that busy pattern though.

The design paper, which has a lovely gloss to it, was free in an old edition of Scrapbooking Magazine
Bells are from my stash as well as the ribbon, twine and button brads.
Sentiment is a LOTV stamp.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you get a chance to join us this
week....it's never too early to start on those Christmas cards.

TPS #254 ~ Birthday Girl

Hi everyone,
Today starts a new challenge at

with the theme being "Birthday Girl"

as our sponsor offering a fabulous prize of $30. to spend on their website here, and if you have used one of their gorgeous images you will be entitled to the whole amount but even if you havent you will still receive 3 digi images of your own choice. But please if you are going to enter more than once, you are able to take part 3 times but one of those must carry one of our images please.

Masculine Birthday Card

Hi everyone,
I hope you're having a good weekend.  Someone turned up the thermostat and it was a cooker here today with even higher temps expected tomorrow for Father's Day.    Take care on those outdoor activities everyone.

This is a just-because kind of post and not for my DT requirements.  I recently was lucky enough to win a challenge where the prize was from Pink Gem Designs and I choose Happy Beer Day card topper digi kit knowing this would be perfect for hubby.  He laughed so hard when he opened it as he does love his nightly glass of Bud.

My photo does not show the dimension but there are several pieces added with pop dots.
I have not had the opportunity to work with topper kits but this was so much fun and came together in no time. It feels a little like cheating because of no colouring or design on my part though.

This is the first of 2 posts I have for you today.

A very easy theme so I hope you get to play along and show us your Christmas creations.

I've coloured with Copics an older image from Elizabeth Bell and made a
shaker card with lots of bling. I'm sorry I do not know the name of this rubber stamp

did not write the names beside them.

but it should warm up again by the weekend,

Today starts a new challenge at

I hope you have something fun planned for the weekend.

Today starts a new challenge at
Winter Wonderland
where our lovely host Cindy has chosen the theme "Snowflakes

But before I get to my photo...I have to moan a little
...I'm so unhappy with my pictures lately.
Perhaps I need a new camera?
or this 20 year old Canon needs a good cleaning?
not sure which!
The pencil strokes did not show up on this majestic bear's coat
and I was so happy with them! Oh well...looks better IRL.

I coloured this digi image from Tiddly Inks with polychromos.
It is called Ricky Winter Light Wishes.
The background paper is also from Tiddly Inks.
Snowflakes cut using an older ProvoCraft die
