Under the Sea

Hi everyone,
I can't believe it's the last long weekend of the Summer....phew time flies!
All the grandkids are excited for the first day of school on Tuesday
and I know their Mom's miss them already.
I've a card to show you today that uses an adorable image from Aurora Wings called Sea Turtle Kiss.
I went out of my comfort zone and coloured her hair turquoise!
The design paper does not show it but it is all glitter.

I coloured a piece of cheesecloth using Tim Holtz Evergreen Bough distressed Ink and water.
MB Big Splash Border and Whimsy Seashore Element dies for the starfish and sand dollar.
Coloured with Copics  and Viva Decor Ice White Pearl Pen used in her hair

For the Kids...

Hi everyone,
I hope all is well with you and yours.
We are having fabulous weather here.
I'm so loving this summer with our cool nights and warm sunny days....just beautiful.
Hubby is happy too as the air conditioning has not been running constantly
...keeping our hydro bill manageable.
The lawns are all green...so unusual for August.
Normally by this late in the summer we have water bans in place
and everything is scorched...but not this year ...I'm loving it.

Now....on to business.  Today starts a new challenge at
and our lovely Becky has chosen
For the Kids

The fabulous Kenny K is one of our sponsors this week
and I chose to colour an image called Bear that can be found here.
I thought he would make a perfect card for a little fella.

I cut the balloons out of Inky Antics Honeycomb Paper
The paper is from Paperhouse The Great Outdoors mini paper pad

I hope you get a chance to play along with us this week and I'll be back shortly with
my second post for today.

Happy Birthday...

Hi everyone,
I hope you are all well.
I've enjoyed my little holiday away from crafting these past few weeks
but am now into the swing of things with two posts.

Today starts a new challenge at
and the theme is a great one....Make it Digital

There are so many fabulous images at The Paper Shelter and I choose
one that I've wanted to showcase for sometime now.
It is the wonderful Los Mariachis
I just love how this turned out...and it's so easy.

This is a pre-coloured image. I printed two copies on my photo printer, using
one to paper piece the hat, mustache, eyebrows, bow ties and banner.
The Happy Birthday is a MB die.
Balloons are from Die-Namics...sentiment created in Word before cutting

As always there this a fabulous prize for the winner this week so we hope you can play along.
Please stop by and see the wonderful inspiration
from my talented team mates too...we'd love to see you.
